The Aquatic Lotus Bloom


The design inspiration for this pendant stems from the sacred lotus flower and the mesmerizing hues of a tropical twilight. At the heart of the concept is the Padparadscha sapphire itself; a stone famously named after the Sinhalese word for "aquatic lotus blossom."

We wanted to mirror that divine, fleeting moment when the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant pinks and fiery oranges. The concentric mandala pattern represents spiritual awakening, harmony, and infinite balance.

By surrounding the central gem with unfolding layers of sculpted gold, fiery accent stones, and ethereal, dream-like opals, the piece captures the essence of a blooming lotus bathed in the magical, iridescent light of a golden-hour sunset.

How we brought our inspiration to life?


Creating this complex piece required hundreds of hours of meticulous benchwork and precision engineering. The process began with the careful sourcing of a flawless, vivid Padparadscha sapphire, whose unique dimensions dictated the geometry of the entire pendant.

Our master goldsmiths then hand-carved the multi-tiered lotus petals from solid 18k yellow and rose gold to create striking depth and dimensional contrast. Each individual fiery accent stone was strictly matched for color grading to ensure a seamless, radiating gradient.
